GHEEM Sookyoung is a multidisciplinary artist from South Korea who now lives and works in Paris and Vitry-sur-Seine. Her work spans installation, sculpture, and performance.

Her art explores the relationship between individuals and their environment. She focuses on the intangible elements that shape our lives, such as accents, habits, and cultural norms. Her work visualizes these often overlooked aspects of our existence by examining the interactions and influences between objects and their surroundings.

Her artistic practice is an ever-evolving form that adapts to the environment surrounding it. She draws on her internal movements to create works that reflect the fluidity of life and our relationships with our surroundings. Through her assemblages of organic materials, she reconstructs conflicting moments between the individual and the external environment, encouraging viewers to think about how intangible fragments affect us in our daily lives.

GHEEM sookyoung's work offers think-provoke experiences to those who engage with it, revealing the complex relationship between objects and their surroundings. Her art invites us to explore the intangible fragments that shape our daily lives and their profound impact on us.
